A Par Tay!

Not sure if "Par Tay" is really a word... oh well, who cares?

Anyways, remember about that "Last Day of Chinese New Year" and "Special Party" stuff I talked about in the last post? Well... I did mention that I was going to post again right after the party to talk about it... sorry that I didn't. I had to go to the fireworks show outside, and by the time I got back, it was WAY past my bedtime. Not normal for me on Mondays! So, instead, I'll tell you about it now!

First of all, the first visitor arrived at about... 4 PM, and that really surprised me. I never thought anyone would come so early! I had only just finished my previous entry then. I stayed in my room for maybe 3 hours, just because I had nothing to do. I only came out when all the visitors came. All of them I have met before, just like I expected. But I got the numbers wrong... I thought about ten were going to come, but actually, I misunderstanded. Actually, there were 10 people altogether INCLUDING me and my parents and grandparents.
First, we just watched TV and stuff like that, while my mom was preparing dinner.
When it was finally time for dinner, we saw what delicacies were prepared. There was "Yuan Xiao" (of course!), "Gu Lao" Pork, Spring Rolls, Caesar Salad, Fruit Salad, and many others. But just when I started to indulge, I heard the large bang. I looked out the window... the fireworks show had started! And for 20 minutes, we sat on the couch looking at them, oooing and aaahing, just in the right spot.
After that show, we continued our dinner. My dad and many other people drank some wine, though I don't know which kind. They also drank some beer. I just drank coconut juice the whole time.
Everyone was having a good time, and they talked for a long time. At around 9 PM, everyone said that they were going to go home. They had a good time here.

After they went home, I watched a bit of TV and my dad took me to see fireworks. We were back in 2 hours. It was a great day (or should I say night)!

Next Chinese New Year, you could invite all your Chinese friends to a dinner, too!
